People who are creators—of stories, art, crafts, podcasts, and the like—are damn impressive. The dedication it takes to come up with things to post on a schedule (and content creators post multiple times a day) takes a way of looking at the world that I’m not sure I have. It also is fascinating to look at writers over three or ten or thirty-plus novels and see how much they have improved in their craft; podcasters are similar. The fresh, daily shows require keeping up on news and rumors, developing sources of information, learning—so much leading from mistakes or missteps. The scripted shows take more and more of my thoughts as I think about not only the research and the writing of scripts to put information and stories into a format that allows the hosts and guests to shine, but the way those presenters grow week after week (or season after season) is so awesome to see. They make each show feel like they aren’t completely scripted which sometimes allows the audience to ignore or be unabated of the sheer amount of work.

My favorites:

The list is in the order that I noticed my last episode going live. They are all awesome for different reason and they all have hosts who tell great stories.

If you stumble on this post, enjoy your listens and let me know what else I should be listening to in the comments.
